We recently had the incredible opportunity to work with Samantha. Our Golden Retriever, underwent basic training at PetSmart as a puppy but we struggled with his behavior in public. That’s when Samantha came into our lives and transformed everything.
Kaladin did a 4-wk board and train which achieved a remarkable transformation in him. He returned home calmer, more aware of expectations, and skilled at navigating various social situations, from interactions with other dogs to behaving appropriately around people and in public spaces like restaurants.
What truly set Samantha apart was not just her effective training methods but that she understands the importance of mental and physical stimulation for dogs and equipped us with strategies to maintain his progress. Moreover, Sam’s commitment to ongoing support is unparalleled. Upon his return, she spent time with us, demonstrating how to manage him in different scenarios, ensuring we felt confident in continuing his training.

Samantha is amazing! She has seriously made my home life easier. Otter was a resource guarder, and it was getting to be over almost anything. Samantha took him in on the Board and Train for over 3 weeks. She was able to build his confidence up and help him work through not only the resource guarding, but also his high anxiety of going out in public and walking by people and other animals on the trails. The high point was seeing the off-leash accomplishment and thinking of how many fun beach days we could have ahead. The updates and pictures along the way were heartwarming to see him so happy and getting to be a part of the pack. One of the best parts for me personally was the time she spent training me as well so that we could continue the training at home. Having her support after Otter came home was so important to keeping him on track. She listened, gave ideas and suggestions, and sometimes was just my personal support system. Seeing the difference in Otter is like night and day. I now notice when he starts slipping away with too much free time and can get him back on track. I am forever thankful to Samantha for helping Otter and I have such a better life together. I cannot wait for her to meet Otter’s little brother in March!

As a veterinarian, I highly recommend Adventure Dog Training. I was in over my head with a high drive, confident, working-line German Shepherd Dog- Samantha has been a godsend in improving the relationship between my dog and I, helping us pursue individual goals, customizing training to be relevant to my life, and being an excellent guide and educator for me. He did a board and train with Sam. We received frequent updates, including pictures and videos of his training. I love that my dog got to be active while he was there with hikes and outings, and that he lived in Samantha’s home with her own dogs. I especially appreciated Samantha’s transparency in having realistic goals for our dog, as well as updating me if anything happened with him. Our go home lessons were detailed and I left feeling confident. Since his board and train, we have boarded our dog with Samantha and have continued private lessons. The BEST! I’ve had the pleasure of Sam guiding me in training my dog for the past six years. She transformed my dog from a complete mess of reactivity and a bite history into a confident well trained dog who has flourished over the years. She never gave up on him and us. She answered every question and helped me work through any new issues that popped up with my dog along the way, there we a lot.
Sam is extremely knowledgable, dogs are her life. She is the best trainer I have ever worked with, and I have worked with several. She gets results, even with the toughest of dogs. She never quits and there isn’t a dog she can’t train and help you train.
She is also my dogs most favorite person in the entire world. We still board our dog with her and we get the added bonus of training while he is boarding to keep him fresh on all of his training. If you’re looking for a trainer look no further. You wont be disappointed.

Samantha is absolutely amazing! Our English Setter was afraid of EVERYTHING inside and fearless outside. He wouldn’t eat food from a bowl because he was afraid of the bowl, but outside, he was so strong that it was a tug-of-war that left us sore from trying to take a walk. We finally gave up trying. Our life was changing and we now travel quite a bit and needed to be able to handle our dog and have him confident in changing environments. We drove him from Oklahoma to CA because of the good things we heard about Sam. She worked very diligently with Bentley and he is a completelydifferent dog because of it. His hunting drive is still very present but now, he actually pays attention to commands and is quick to return when called. He walks well on leash, staying right with usand not pulling. We are even able to now take him in public! Sam worked very hard to accomplish all she did with Bentley and it has paid off! He is a much happier dog! I cannot recommend Adventure Dog Training enough.

We cannot recommend Sam more! My fiance and I hired her for private lessons to help get our 2yo Lab and 3yo Frenchie ready for a road trip we had planned to take to Oregon. Pre-training, our Lab, Ollie, could not sit still in a public space, he pulled on-leash and was constantly demand barking wherever we went. After just one lesson, we saw a huge difference in both of our dogs! She was amazing coordinating with our busy schedules and anytime I called or texted Sam for advice, she would respond right away with help. I am a very overprotective dog mom & Sam was the perfect balance of caring, kind & warm energy. She made us feel at ease and we trust her completely with our dogs! She really creates individual training plans for your dog, specifically. After we completed training, we now have 2 very well behaved dogs on and off leash. We can’t thank Sam enough!

If there was a higher rating than 5 stars, I would give it! We did a 3 week board & train for our Golden Retriever and could not be more pleased! Sam is knowledgeable, experienced and professional in every way. It has been many years since my husband and I owned a dog and although we had a good start, we needed assistance with leash manners, public manners as well as off-leash training and confidence building. Sam far exceeded our expectations in every area. Training at this level is an investment and the value we received was worth every penny! Before training, Sam explained our options, benefits of training and what to expect. Throughout training, we received updates, notes and pictures of her progress. She responded quickly to any questions that we had…and I had a lot! We participated in “owner training” to equip us with the knowledge and tools to reinforce with consistency – the excellent foundation that had been built.
